The Century Society

In 1997, the Trustees established Bishop Gadsden's Century Society. Membership in this organization is obtained by thoughtfully establishing a planned gift, naming Bishop Gadsden as a beneficiary through one's estate plan. Some examples of ways to do this include naming Bishop Gadsden's Ministry as a beneficiary through a charitable bequest in a will or in a charitable trust or through establishing a charitable gift annuity with Bishop Gadsden. The first 100 such donors are charter members in this prestigious organization and each name is listed (or will be) on a beautiful bronze plaque in the Elsie Taber Palm Courtyard, located in the Commons at Bishop Gadsden. At this time, 68 individuals are listed. In establishing this gift, these individuals have become a source of continued strength in supporting the vision and ministry of Bishop Gadsden.

If you have included Bishop Gadsden in your estate plans or intend to do so, please contact Sue Mariotti, Director of Development, in order that we take the proper steps to thank you. Bishop Gadsden's official name is The Episcopal Church Home, and our Federal Tax ID # is 570337132.

Recently, Maj. Gen. and Mrs. Clare T. Ireland became members of the Century Society, by establishing a charitable gift annuity with Bishop Gadsden.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schroeder joined other Century Society members by including Bishop Gadsden as a beneficiary in their will.
